We continue to recover from the IT outage on Friday 19th July and are pleased to report that the clinical system is working more or less normally. It is likely to take much of this week to completely clear some backlogs that built up, including updating records after paper notes were kept on Friday.
We would like to say a special thank you to our colleagues in the practice. Despite the IT issue, we were able to keep our online consultations open throughout the day on Friday and dealt with well over 200 enquiries. Our on-call Duty Team saw around 100 patients who needed to be seen on the day. In addition, all patients who had pre-arranged appointments were able to attend with the practice’s business continuity plan being implemented.
We would also like to thank our patients for their understanding both on Friday and also as we continue to catch up this week.
